Safe Space
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (OR) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University. My work is grounded in social justice, systems theory, and the cultural forces that shape identity.
I specialize in ADHD, trauma, and identity‑affirming care for women and LGBTQ+ adults. After receiving my own ADHD‑Inattentive diagnosis at 44, I pursued advanced training in executive functioning, psychopharmacology, trauma, and disability support, earning certification as an ADHD Certified Clinical Specialist.
I founded this practice to help women reclaim their voice, values, and sense of self. Today, I focus on trauma‑informed therapy and comprehensive ADHD assessment for adults — especially those diagnosed later in life.
It is an honor to support people as they start to understand their brains & behavior, healing from shame, and step into their authentic lives.

YOUR STORY, REWRITTEN
Reclaiming Your Voice as a Neurodivergent Woman
So many neurodivergent women grow up absorbing stories that were never theirs to begin with — stories about being “too much,”
“too scattered,” “too emotional," "too lazy" ... Over time, those messages settle into the body as shame, self‑doubt, and a quiet belief that something is fundamentally wrong.
A Comprehensive Assessment offers you answers.
Therapy is where we rewrite that narrative.
Together, we explore how ADHD has shaped your life — not as a flaw, but as a pattern of strengths, sensitivities, creativity, and resilience that were never recognized or supported. We look at the internalized messages you have carried for years and begin reframing them into a story that actually reflects who you are: a smart, intuitive, deeply creative woman who has always marched to the beat of her own drum, even when the world tried to hand her a different rhythm.
We are more than a therapy and comprehensive assessment practice—we are a movement. At Rebellious Women Empowerment Therapy, we help women reclaim their stories & break free from limiting narratives
"You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them." – Maya Angelou.
WHAT YOU WERE TOLD
THE TRUTH

You were never too much. You were just undiagnosed — and unsupported.

EMDR
The EMDR Short‑Term Series is designed specifically for people processing single‑incident traumas — such as a car accident, medical event, assault, or witnessing a one‑time traumatic event — as well as phobias (e.g., flying) This series is not appropriate for trauma that occurred repeatedly or over long periods (e.g., domestic violence, ongoing childhood abuse, chronic bullying, religious trauma, or other forms of complex trauma).
Many single‑incident trauma responses can be significantly reduced or resolved within 2–8 EMDR sessions, each lasting 85 minutes.
Sarah Jurrens has successfully completed Phase I and Phase II training in EMDR, along with all 50 required consultation hours.

Payment Policy
All fees are due at the time of your session. Some services require a deposit to hold your spot. All services are private‑pay, and we are happy to provide a superbill upon request for potential out‑of‑network reimbursement through your insurance provider. If you have any questions about coverage, billing, or what to expect, you are always welcome to ask — we are here to make the process as clear and supportive as possible.
Good Faith Estimate of Costs
You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate that shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur. If this happens, federal law allows you to dispute (appeal) the bill. If you are billed for more than this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. You may contact the health care provider or facility listed to let them know the billed charges are higher than the Good Faith Estimate. You can ask them to update the bill to match the Good Faith Estimate, ask to negotiate the bill, or ask if there is financial assistance available. You may also start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the date on the original bill. There is a $25 fee to use the dispute process. If the agency reviewing your dispute agrees with you, you will have to pay the price on this Good Faith Estimate. If the agency disagrees with you and agrees with the health care provider or facility, you will have to pay the higher amount. To learn more and get a form to start the process, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019. When you receive a copy of your GFE, keep a copy in a safe place or take pictures of it. You may need it if you are billed a higher amount.
"We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion."
—Max de Pree.
