Welcome!

"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion." Albert Camus

Hello and welcome!

Whether it is your first time reaching out for help or you have been going to therapy for years, we can take steps together to create a specific plan to help YOU and your unique situation.  We can collaborate to build short-term and/or long-term goals as we see fit for your benefit. I work hard to make sure my therapeutic approach caters to your needs.

Strong self-confidence (aka truly trusting yourself!) is often the foundation for creating the life we want, and self-awareness is the first step towards trusting yourself. Low self-confidence can be caused by a multitude of issues from our past or present (trauma, abuse, ADHD, external messages from society, etc). The resulting symptoms can include anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, relationship stress, dissociation, isolation, indecisiveness, negative self-talk, blame, shame, and so much more.

I believe knowledge is power, and I would love to collaborate to create a structured or fluid space to help you embrace your power and put it to work for you!

We will work together to establish a brave space for discussions, sharing, exploring, breathing, learning techniques and tools to dig deeper, creating boundaries, coping skills, and becoming the best you that you want to be. I am here to help you create real change at your own pace based on your individual needs.

I want to help you separate the external world and your internal world so you can experience true freedom. Discover what is holding you back in life, causing you symptoms such as depression, anxiety, mood swings, anger, fear, and low self-confidence, amongst others.

I am very open and honest in my approach and always encourage my clients to do that, too. I always love to receive honest feedback and feelings as they arise in the room when possible. I think it truly helps with the therapeutic process.

My specialties are working with women (anyone who identifies as a woman) who have survived any type of trauma (nothing is too big or too little, if it has impacted you and was traumatic to you, let's work on it), general anxiety, anxiety disorders (OCD, phobia, panic), ADHD (I am a diagnosed ADHDer myself and have lots of training and experience on the topic), self-discovery, and self-growth.

My approach is empathetic and humanistic but also realistic. I believe that our personalities are often trapped behind a lifetime of programmed reactions, and we can work to free ourselves to respond thoughtfully, allowing room for us to be our true selves with time and practice. I often use a blend of EMDR, CBT, psychoanalysis, and pull from other creative evidence based practices that I find appropriate for each client.

While we cannot always change the world around us, we can become so in touch with our inner self that the storms outside will not so easily knock us down.
